Get Involved

At Great Rivers Greenway District, we are working to make the St. Louis region a better place to live, but we simply cannot do that work without the help of our community and environmental volunteers. Your support at our events, use of our trails, donations and volunteer hours make an incredible impact in the work that we do.

Thanks to your generous support and the help of our environmental volunteers, more than 1,500 acres of public lands have been connected and in excess of 32,000 acres of land have been preserved. Because of you, we've been able to complete more than 100 miles of off-street trails and 84 miles of on-street bike routes, promoting healthier, more sustainable living options to residents of St. Louis.

Giving of your time or your funds to make the St. Louis region a better place to live is truly a legacy gift for generations to come. Great Rivers Greenway is one of St. Louis’ leading environmental organizations dedicated to preserving nature and transforming the city into a place that better serves our residents.

Tell a Friend

Invite a friend to take a walk or ride on a trail nearby. Show them the ways that they are already connected to some incredible destinations in St. Louis City, St. Louis County and St. Charles County - all accessible by using our trails, on-street routes and the Metro system.

Commit to more sustainable living in St. Louis and inspire your friends and family to do the same! Click here for trail maps and more information on the connections in your own back yard.

Connect in Real Life

On our events page, we feature District events and those of like-minded organizations also working to make the region a better place to live. Shut down the computer, put on your walking shoes (or pedal clips!) and come out to support the work of the many organizations working to improve quality of life for the region. Another way to join our team of environmental volunteers is to consider making a donation to the District's work, which makes St. Louis City, St. Louis County and St. Charles County a better place to live, or designate your donation to a specific project, such as The Trestle, an urban redevelopment project that is unparalleled in the St. Louis region.
