1) Notice to Contractors: Bike St. Louis Phase 3 - Bikeway Implementation Project
Sealed bids for Bike St. Louis Phase 3 - STP-5401 (701), will be received at : 6174A Delmar Blvd., St. Louis, MO 63112 until 10am local time on July 25, 2014, at the office of the Great Rivers Greenway District, and will be opened at that time and publicly read. All bids shall be submitted in sealed envelope, with the name of the firm submitting the bid in the upper left hand corner of the envelope, and in the lower left hand corner shall be marked "SEALED BID for BIKE ST. LOUIS PHASE 3, PAVEMENT MARKING AND SIGNING PACKAGE."
The proposed work includes: Implementation of bikeway facilities in the Cit of St. Louis including signing, striping, striping removal, traffic signal retrofitting, relocation of granite curb, installation of curb ramps, construction of bike cut through, and installation of bike corrals on city streets.
Plans and specifications may be obtained from the office of the Great Rivers Greenway District at 6174A Delmar Blvd., St. Louis, MO 63112 or from McGraw Hill Construction Dodge website.
A pre-bid conference will be held at 3:00pm on July 8, 2014 at Great Rivers Greenway Distrcit office at 6174A Delmar Blvd., St. Louis, MO 63112. All bidders are encouraged to attend the pre-bid meeting.
All labor used in the construction of this public improvement shall be paid a wage no less than the prevailing hourly rate of wages of work of a similar character in this locality as established by the Department of Labor and Industrial Relations (Federal Wage Rate), or state wage rate, whichever is higher.
The Great Rivers Greenway District hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, businesses owned and controlled by socially and economically disadvantaged individuals will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, religion, creed, sex, age, ancestry, or national origin in consideration for an award.
All bidders must be on MoDOT's Qualified Contractor List per Section 102.2 of the Missouri Standard Specifications for Highway Construction, 2011 Edition including all revisions. The contractor questionnaire must be on file 7 days prior to bid opening.
Contractors and sub-contractors who sign a contract to work on public works project provide a 10-Hour OSHA construction safety program, or similar program approved by the Department of Labor and Industrial Relations, to be completed by their on-site employees within sixty (60) days of beginning work on the construction project.
A certified or cashier's check or a bid bond in the amount of 5% shall be submitted with each proposal.
The Great Rivers Greenway District reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
The DBE Goal for this project is 7%.
No 2nd tier subcontracting will be allowed on this project.
2) Request for Qualifications
Updating Signage, Environmental Graphics
& Wayfinding Standards
The Great Rivers Greenway District requests
qualifications for updating their existing signage, environmental graphics and
wayfinding standards in connection with construction of bicycle and pedestrian
facilities along an interconnected systems of greenways, parks, and trails. Proposals are due July 18, 2014. The District reserves
the right to reject any or all proposals.
